Spirit of the Game CommiTTEE

The All Africa Flying Disc Federation (AAFDF) is forming its Spirit of the Game Committee, and we are inviting passionate community members to join us. The SOTG Committee will champion the core values that make our sport unique respect, fairness, communication, integrity, and joy in play.

We are seeking 1 dedicated Committee Member who will contribute to developing Spirit education tools, promoting positive on-field culture, and supporting teams and tournaments in strengthening Spirit-driven play across Africa.

Requirements:

We welcome applicants who:

• Deeply value Spirit of the Game and practice it consistently
• Have experience playing, coaching, officiating, or teaching SOTG principles
• Are committed to supporting conflict resolution and positive sporting culture
• Believe in Ultimate as a tool for community-building and mutual respect

Youth & University in sport Commission

The AADF is also activating the Youth & University in sport Commission, focused on strengthening youth development pathways, university engagement, and the future of flying disc across Africa.

We are seeking 5 motivated Commission Members who are passionate about developing young players, building sustainable programs, and expanding access to the sport in schools and universities.

Requirements:

We welcome applicants who:

Have experience working with youth teams, school programs, or university clubs
Are excited about building systems, resources, and development pathways
Understand the importance of nurturing the next generation of players and leaders
Are collaborative, proactive, and values-driven

Gender Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (GEDI) Commission

The All African Flying Disc Federation (AAFDF) is launching its Gender Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (GEDI) Commission, and we are seeking passionate leaders to be part of this important initiative. The GEDI Commission will play a key role in advancing inclusive policies, empowering underrepresented voices, and strengthening equity across flying disc sports in Africa.

We are inviting expressions of interest to join as one of 10 Commission Members: 8 women and 2 men from our 25 member countries. This balanced composition reflects our commitment to promoting and elevating women's leadership-recognizing the powerful role women have always played in shaping Ultimate's culture, community, and excellence.

Are committed to advancing gender equity, diversity, and inclusion in flying disc sports
Demonstrate collaboration, empathy, and leadership potential
Represent diverse regions, cultures, identities, and playing experiences
Believe in the values of Spirit of the Game, fairness, and community development
