AAFDF to Launch Africa Nation Ultimate Championship 2026

The All Africa Flying Disc Federation (AAFDF) is proud to announce the launch of the Africa Nation Ultimate Championship (ANUC) 2025, a landmark initiative designed to elevate national-level competition and deepen continental unity through the sport of Ultimate.

Set to debut in October-2026, ANUC will bring together national teams from across Africa in a high-stakes, spirit-driven tournament that celebrates athletic excellence, cultural exchange, and the power of disc sports to unite communities. Unlike club-based events, ANUC will feature officially recognized national squads, offering federations a platform to showcase their talent, leadership, and development progress on a continental stage.

“As President of AAFDF, I believe this championship is more than a tournament — it’s a declaration,” said Ronny Ochoro. “A declaration that African nations are ready to lead, compete, and inspire through Ultimate. ANUC will be a proving ground for our federations and a celebration of our shared vision for inclusive, high-impact sport.”

The championship will be hosted in partnership with AAFDF and local organizing bodies, with venue and date details to be confirmed in the coming weeks. AAFDF is currently coordinating with National Federations (NFs) to finalize eligibility, team selection criteria, and logistical support. The event will also feature spirit awards, development clinics, and leadership forums, reinforcing AAFDF’s commitment to holistic growth.

ANUC 2026 builds on the momentum of the recently concluded AAUC in Kampala, which saw record participation and the addition of WFDF’s 25th African member. With ANUC, AAFDF aims to strengthen national structures, promote gender equity through mixed-format play, and prepare African teams for future global representation.
